Dash cams are becoming increasingly popular in car items for drivers, providing additional safety and protection for themselves and their vehicles. One feature that is often discussed when discussing the dash cam is FHD, which is full HD. In this article, we will explore FHD in more detail, discussing what it is, its differences from other resolutions, and its importance to dash cams. What is FHD?

FHD stands for Full HD, which is a video resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It goes one step further than HD (High Definition), which has a video resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. FHD cameras have twice the number of pixels as HD cameras, providing clearer and more detailed images.

How is FHD different from other resolutions?

Dash cams typically use multiple different video resolutions, so understanding the differences to determine the resolution that suits you is crucial. SD (Standard Definition): This is the lowest video resolution, providing 640 x 480 pixels. This is an old technology that is no longer commonly used. HD (High Definition): HD provides 1280 x 720 pixels, which is a significant improvement on SD. This is the most common resolution for a dash cam as it provides a good balance between image quality and file size. FHD (Full HD): FHD provides 1920 x 1080 pixels, twice the number of HD pixels. This will result in clearer and more detailed images. 4K Ultra High Definition: 4K provides a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, which is four times the number of full HD pixels. However, the 4K dash cam is still relatively new and may be quite expensive.

Why is FHD important for a dash cam?

The main reason why FHD is important for driving recorders is that it provides clearer and more detailed images, which are very useful in the event of accidents or events. With the FHD DASH CAM, you can still see detailed details such as license plate numbers and road signs even in low light conditions. This is crucial for any legal proceedings that may arise for insurance purposes or events.

FHD is also important for driving recorders as it can more accurately identify any potential hazards or hazards on the road. With clear and detailed images, you can better avoid collisions or other accidents. In addition, FHD DASH CAM is more forward-looking than low resolution cameras. With the continuous advancement of technology and the increasing popularity of higher resolution displays, FHD videos still look good.
